RIP Schick Personal Touch

I've been using a Schick Personal Touch razor for years - I'm in my mid-40s and I'm thinking I was probably using this when I was a teen. This is the best razor - it's sturdy, shaves well, is easy to hold. I don't know why I'm always late to the party when it comes to finding out things but apparently Schick discontinued this razor years ago. I knew it was hard to find refills, but it never occured to me that they would stop producing this awesome razor. A couple years ago the local Fry's grocery store was having a closeout on the refill packs and I bought all they had, since I always had such trouble finding them. Had I known I was never going to see another refill again, I would have gone on a massive, valley-wide hunt for all remaining refill packs.

It's only in the last couple months that I've come to the realization that this razor and its refills are gone forever. If you Google you can find lots of reviews, lots of women who loved their Schick as much as I love mine, and lots of wailing at the fact that this item is gone. You can also find ebay auctions for refill packs for truly unbelievable prices. I loved my Schick, but I'm not so in love with the idea of shaved legs to part with the kind of money the sellers are asking.

I've tried some of the "feminine" foo-foo razors with pretty names and fancy colors but they either broke (damn swivel heads!) or just didn't give as good a shave as the Schick. I've tried some men's razors, too, but I'm just not happy with what I've found.

I'm not a fan of waxing, I don't have the funds for laser - it's seriously tempting to just go au naturel and let the leg hair grow. I'm getting to a point in my life where I just don't care what others think. If I'm comfortable and have no issues with hairy legs, then no one else should be either!

I just signed the Schick personal touch razor petition. How many signatures needed to possibly bring it back ? Thanks

Anonymous said...

I too have been using the Schick Personal Touch razor forever. I would love to see Schick at least bring back the refills at a reasonable price--EBAY is outrageous and I too don't like the other razors out there. Hope signing this petition works.

Anonymous said...

Looked at the petition but not signing because it wanted too much info.

Anonymous said...

I signed the petition. I LOVE this razor. When I could not find any more refills, I kept using the razor until it got so dull and couldn't shave anything. Now I have just one (1) refill remaining. I hope the petition works.

I used my Personal Touch razor for 20 yrs until my crazy dog turned it into a chew toy....I have five refills sitting in my bathroom drawer that I have no use for and I'm too obsessive to just throw them away and too anti-greed to sell them on ebay soooo first person to email me their address I'll send them to you...bmontes@verizon.net.

Well that was fast - my refills found a home....bmontes

I've used my same Personal Touch razor since it was new on the market. When my local WalMart had the refills on clearance, I bought every last one in the store. Last week I used the last blade. :(

Well, chalk me up as another clueless consumer who has been using my Personal Touch razor since they came out and, after having so much trouble finding refills, was beginning to think they might have been discontinued. Now, having searched online and verified the sad fact, I'm just sitting here stunned. The perfect razor. No wobbly head. Total control. I've not seen anything even similar in the stores that I care to try. I'm 63. Poor lower circulation, so the leg hairs aren't so many these days, but the armpits ... sigh. I have one cartridge left. I'm thinking once it's gone I'll probably start using Nair or a similar product, something that's not going to slice me with every stroke. Schick, whoever made that call to discontinue production really blew it. Oh, BTW, that petition is closed now.

I thought I was the only crazy person trying to find refills for a razor I have had for 20 years. They truly made a huge mistake leaving the biggest consumer group unhappy. Shame on them. I am down to my last pack of blades and mourning the end already.

Unknown said...

Omg, just now went online to order more refills and am getting the bad news! Waaaaa! I too have been using this razor for over 30 years. I am so bummed! I tried to sign the petition and it was closed. So, there's nothing we can do? So sad!!!

I found 10 refill cartridges in my cupboard today, but no longer have the razor. I was shocked at the price of the refills on ebay. I will sell the 10 cartridges for $10 if anyone is interested.

I can put the 10 cartridges in a padded envelope and send them via US mail. I think I can mail them for about $2 making the total $12 for all 10 cartridges. I'm not sure how to contact someone on here to get mailing info, etc.

Please email me jkgrant30@gmail.com. I would love to buy them! I am down to my last two cartridges!

What a great loss to daily life! I bought my Personal Touch razor back in the 1970's when it first came out and have used it ever since. I am 65 and in all those years never once did I cut my legs while shaving. Last month, after using my very last refill cartridge, I bought one of the new wobbly head excuses for a razor and since then have regularly been slicing bits of my leg off. Like so many other great products that never needed replacing, the Personal Touch is a thing of the past. Truly a shame.

Anonymous said...

Me too have used PTR for years and loved it. Nothing wrong with it!...I'm 69 now. Great razor. Now I have to spent more money of my SS to find one just as good.. Trial and error. So far I have called Shick for some coupons for other razors. I'm holding onto my razon for now. One is selling in EBay for $18.00 and the razors there are incredibly expensive especially for those on SS retirement like over $100's ...Who was the idiot that made the decision to discontinue? Maybe he stored his extra blades to make a mint with them on Ebay. Geesh!
Too bad petition is over.😫😰

Another clueless. Just starting looking for replacement blades. When I didn't find them, I looked on line and found that I will probably never find them. So sad. I really like this razor and like so many of you that commented, I have used it for a long time.

Anonymous said...

Very sad about the Personal Touch here too. Have used them for years and very satisfied. Now, I hate trying new razors til I can find one that works as well with the cost of that. Of course that is what Schick wants me to do. This is an important item for us ladies that we used often.not fair. I called Schick and told them I would never buy their products again and I mean it! So I had to add my to cents to Schick. Does life have to change so much ALL the time! Grrrrrr!

I have obviously not been paying attention. I had no idea the razor had been discontinued, but did realize that the replacement heads were getting harder and harder to find. Luckily, I just found two replacement packs in a cabinet, as I was moving out of my condo. I guess I better transition to another brand. However, it's not going to be easy. I've been using the Personal Touch razor for the past 20 years.

Anonymous said...

I've just found a Facebook Page "Bring Back the Schick Personal Touch Razor" to "Like" - maybe this will get some attention but I sadly doubt it will do any good. They just make Way too much $$$ on the other crap they're selling now so no motivation to sell a Great product that needs no replacing with inexpensive refills. Customer service be damned :( Making the move to Dorco System - online razor shopping like Dollar Shave club without the monthly commitment, just buy as needed. Hope it's worthy!

I know that when compared to all the problems in the world today, the discontinuing of the personal touch razor and refill blades does not seem to compare, but for all the women who have faithfully used this product for their entire lives, this is a tragedy of epic proportions! I am down to my last few razors, and I am completely frantic. I truly do not believe that I can shave with any other razor...not without great bloodshed and permanent scarring. I know without a doubt that the new fangled razors with pivoting heads will never touch my body. Please tell me that someone out there has found some brand of razor and blades that is at least somewhat comparable in design to our beloved personal touch! If anyone has a suggestion, please share it with the rest of the personal touch nation of women. Thank you!

Anonymous said...

I can't believe I'm not the only one! My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I've been using the same razor too for probably 30 years and have been using the last refill blade for at least 6-8 months. Still can't bring myself to pay $40 on eBay for a four-pack...

Have any of you found another razor you like? Mine last cartridge is on it's last leg, haha.

Another clueless PTR user here!! I've been using mine for at least 25 years - both daughters learned how to shave with it!! I recently realized that I was having a hard time finding refills and I would just buy a single disposable until they were back in stock. I could usually find them at Target. I had NO idea they were being discontinued 😒 - if I had known, I would have bought them all!!

My worst Personal Touch fears have been realized. I received my Personal Touch razor in a freshman care package in 1990 and have been using it faithfully ever since. I agree that no other razor works as well or feels as sturdy or easy to use. I hate that I missed the petition. Any way to reopen one? I'm going to try to sharpen the blades on my last two and see what happens ... A sad day. I have no idea what I'll use now.

I am joining this club as well. I have shaved with my Personal Touch since I was 9-10 yo. I am almost 52. I am down to my last two razors. I found them tucked away in my cedar chest. I had thought I was completely out. I had been using others to no avail. I do not like the swivel head with 5 blades. It does not shave as well as my 2 bladed PTR. I have not found another comparable razor in either men or ladies razors. My Mom said "Oh just buy some disposable" That was a huge mistake. I bled from cuts and nicks that I had not had since learning to shave. LOL. The next best thing I have found is an electric razor but you almost have to shave daily on the legs, and it is terrible under the arms. I simply want my PTR and its refills back on the shelf. Thanks for letting me vent.

What's everyone using now that we cannot get our beloved Schick Personal Touch refills? I keep staring at the options and just walk away.... I'm on my LAST refill. Darn you Schick - smh

Anonymous said...

I have a long lasting regret. I had a hot pink, translucent version (Limited edition) that I accidently left behind on a cruise ship about 12 years ago. My only consolation is that I would not be able to use it now anyway 'cause blades are not available. Sigh.

I just went on a massive, fruitless, internet search to find refills for my Schick Personal Touch Razor because I, like so many others, have had this razor FOREVER and I am on my LAST BLADE. I am 51 and this is the first razor I ever had. I actually came across a brand new handle tucked away in a drawer that I never had to start using because the other one never broke. I even have a travel disposable one that I have used for many, many years. It has a slide over cover for the blades and I will keep using it until it no longer cuts the stubble. I also have a case for my PTR that has a little slot for the blade cartridge pack. Alas, like everyone else on this page, I will have to pick some new razor with outrageously expensive blades. I just keep looking at them every time I am at the WalMart, shake my head and pray for a miracle as I walk away empty handed.

Anonymous said...

Schick should be ashamed!!! Just because they took this GREAT razor away, I refuse to buy any schick product. I will find another brand and continue to boycott until it returns.

BGGirl said...

I'm sad and my only solace is that I'm not alone in my grief. I ran out of my refills awhile back and I'm not impressed with the products out on the market. They only promote the disposable culture that the U.S. has cultivated (ugh) and aren't as good at the personal touch razor. RIP indeed.

Brenda said...

The last time I bought refills was about 4 years ago and I found them at Walmart. If I had realized that would be my last time, I would have bought more. I must have also been using this razor over 30 years. I don't want to give this up.

Anonymous said...

I too am sad. This is my favorite razor and my stockpile of blades is finally gone. It is a shame they couldn't just make the refill blades.

Judi said...

If anyone is interested, I bought some refills that are not in a package (new/unused) 4 blades per pack. I will sell them for $25.00 each, including shipping. You can contact me at ptrazorblades@gmail.com to ask any questions. I can provide a phone number if you'd like to call me.

Joe Dokes said...

Pardon the bump but if anyone is interested, while this razor will never again be produced (you can count on that) there is still a way to use the Personal Touch (PT) handle to shave with, if you want to put about 10 minutes of work into it. I have a handle and two original cartridges left, but just altered the handle's head to accept Trac II style cartridges, which are available as generics at Dollar General for under $2 a pack.

If you'll take a look at the handle's "head," you'll note that Schick included a dark brown plastic "bumper" inside the cartridge track. No other Trac II style razor I've ever seen has done this, and I'm a long time wet-shaver (meaning I use double edge, single edge, injector and older style cartridge razors like this one). The ONLY reason I can think of for including this part was to prevent PT users from using alternate brands that would otherwise fit that track...most notably, Gillette's own Trac II cartridges. I tried them myself and they will not fit with that bumper piece in place.

But the fix is simple.

1. Use a small screwdriver or stiff knifeblade and *GENTLY* begin prying the plastic piece outward from the middle, using the small indent on the metal track for access. Take your time.

2. The bumper will soon snap in half but will still be partly attached to the head. Break off what you can and you will be left with two sections of bumper plastic, left and right, connected to the handle through the metal track. They were molded in place and are what keep the metal track (the business part of this whole handle) attached to the head.

4. *GENTLY* pry these off as well. TAKE YOUR TIME. It'll take a bit of gentle prying but they will soon come away cleanly and the metal track will drop free, leaving the main head undamaged. Remove any residual bits of brown plastic.

5. Now simply reattach the metal track to the head using clear two-part epoxy to fill the voids behind the track. Make sure you don't use too much, but just enough that a bead of epoxy flows through the attachment holes in the track and fill the low "trough" in the track. This will ensure a strong grip.

The above is what I've just done and I am confident that track will not be coming off for many years. If it ever does, it's a simple matter to re-glue it. Now I can use this nifty Personal Touch handle with any brand of Trac II (and some Atra) type cartridges. And so can you.

Happy shaving!

I am down to my last blade. 52 years old and this is the only razor I have ever owned. I have watched my daugthers go through razor after razor which convinced me to never give up my Personal Touch. I am a bit terrified at trying to modify my handle and definitely not willing to pay these crazy prices for blades. It is a sad sad day. I may just have to stop shaving and start a new trend. Okay so that might be a bit more terrifying than modifying the handle. Thank you for the instructions.

Unknown said...

Has anyone found any other blade that will fit on the PTR without altering the track? I am desperate! I used my last refill and just now realized it has been discontinued! I, too, have been using this razor since I was about 11 or 12 and I will be 42 shortly. This is a sad day! :-(

Hey Ladies! I am in the same boat. Some years ago, Walmart had the refills and I bought like 10 packs of 4 each or so....it was $45. Now it's $60 and up for ONE 4-pack!!!! OMG! I am on my last one and I also just emailed Shick to see if there is a compatible refill. One site suggests it IS compatible with the Hydro. We shall see.
If anyone has leftover refill cartridges, PLEASE email me at sandicu@aol.com. I will PayPal you immediately for them if they are REASONABLE.
Thanks! I'm 64 and I bought them in 1980 or so. I have a brown and a purple handle. :( So very sad...

We should start a club :), I am sad, but glad I am not alone. It's funny reading the posts, we all are roughly in the same age bracket and have been loyal PT users (2-3 decades).

I have decided to do as many Europeans do. What is available as options leaves me bloodied and scarred.

I remember growing up my mom had this one and had always raved about how well it worked. Now she's sad (to this day) that they no longer sell them. I've used it to shave my legs and it was my best shave ever. No razor bumps. Every other razor I get horrible bumps.

Judi said...

Thank you to everyone who purchased. I have sold all the blades I am willing to part with.

Glad to know I'm not alone in my disappointment for this brand that was discontinued. I am really late to the party! I just went online to see if this brand was still being made, as I was ready for replacement heads. I too have been using this since my teenage years and am now 50, I tried bic ladies but it didn't give me the trim I was used to. I'm sorely going to miss my razor, electrics don't do it for me! :( :( :(

Unknown said...

Talk about late to the party. I have been using this razor since I was in my 20's probably. I am now in my 60's. A friend of mine gave me a box (or could of have been 2) of refills over 20 years ago and have been using them up over the 20 years. The razor, unless the blade was brand new, almost never cut my skin. I could probably use the same blade for 4-6 months. I don't know, I never kept track. But now, I have only 4 blades left and just now started looking for refills. And here I am....so disappointed to find out that they are no longer being made or even available, unless willing to pay a fortune for remaining stock. Has anyone found a good replacement? It is a sad day!

Anonymous said...

I knew they no longer sell the razors, but I always assumed I would be able to order the blades online. Wow! I am in the same boat with all of you -- 55 years old and the only razor I have ever used. I have 2 daughters and have tried their expensive Venus and Intuition. Don't even come close (pun intended!). Also I have tried the disposable cheap ones -- ouch! The swivel heads are useless. Soooo, what is everyone using as a decent replacement?

Anonymous said...

Why is it that when something good comes out, it has to be replaced. This has been the one and only razor that works. I am 53 and have used it for years and have been looking relentlessly in stores for the replacement blades. After reading these posts it now makes sense that it is off the shelves. I really dislike that I'm going to have to throw this razor in the trash. We are in such a disposable world!

Oh, my friends! My Personal Touch posse! I have sadly found you. I discovered a couple of years ago that the refills were seriously difficult to find and bought a bunch online when I found a source. So glad I did! I have frugally used each cartridge until it is completely dull before reluctantly sliding it off and firing up a new one. I thought I'd go online today to see if I might find another source, but oh wow! Nothing but an $80 4-pack on Amazon. CRAZY! I have tried other razors over the years but have had the same problem -- they're awful. I hate the idea that my supply is going to run out within the next year or so. It will truly be the end of an era.

I think it's absolutely bizarre that Schick can see we all HATE the options on the market that slice women to bits, yet they STILL won't at least come out with a comparable updated product. Seriously, think of the savings to landfills this ONE PRODUCT has made. I realize this likely wasn't great business for a for-profit company, but jeez... Can't anyone build a better mousetrap for us?! Why are women's razors so poorly designed? It's 2016 for heaven's sake!

If it ain't broke, DON'T discontinue it! I can't believe what people are trying to sell them for online too, buncha thieves! lol Sadly, the best razors I've found for myself is by a competition brand, BIC. BIC sells 10pk colored, disposable razors for very cheap. Can't complain. At least BIC has their shit together. For now.

Hello again,

I still occasionally use my PT handle with a variety of new and vintage blades, since I went though the two PT heads that came with this handle.

If I may be blunt in making two points:

First, I understand the reluctance of some of you to modify the head so that it will accept other cartridges but just trust me on this, Schick will NEVER reintroduce the PT for the same reason Gillette will never reintroduce (in the U.S. anyway) the old style double edge razors with twist to open doors at the top. Both companies, and others, have gone into an arms race of multiblade razors and together have invested in the hundreds of millions of dollars over the years. Now, that's what men and women (most anyway) have been trained to use -- they cannot imagine using something with less than four or five blades, and it's working for those companies because people will pay through the nose for replacement multiblade cartridges. And to tell the truth, I can't blame them for not going back to them...Gillette still produces the Atra and Trac II cartridges because there's still some old timers who use them but eventually they'll all die off and so will the two-blade cartridges.

Second, I'm mainly an old double edge and injector shaver but having used a wide variety of new and vintage cartridges, both name brand and not, I can tell you that there is very little appreciable difference on my face between the PT cart and any number of twin blade compatibles you can buy for peanuts (relatively speaking). The only real difference I found is that the PT cartridge's "face" was perhaps a bit more raised so that the aggressiveness of the shave (how closely the blades touch the skin) was a bit less than in most other carts. But apart from that, there is zero difference in the feel and, more importantly, the quality of the shave.

Anyway, best of luck to you all. My modified PT handle is still holding up fine, btw. If you want to trust me with your handle, I'll be glad to modify yours as I did mine, free of charge, if you want to drop it in a bubble mailer to me. I'll even include some Dorco (Korean made, good quality) carts for you to try out. My email is ephesians389 ---at symbol--- the mail provided by Google (trying to avoid robots here).

Joe Dokes said...

Also, twin blade disposables are cheap enough but I've yet to find one that performs quite as well as even a lower end Trac II/Atra type cartridge.

I, too, am on my last blade and just finding out about the discontinuation. I did try a Venus once when I couldn't find blades and HATED it! The multi blade razors are horrible. I still have old cartridges in my pack and may see if I can squeeze out some more use by cleaning them. I've been looking for alternate blades so may check out the Atras. Very bummed after using this razor for decades.

Try the Pace Comfort Thin II twin blade system available for cheap at Dollar General. Shaves very well. It's what I use instead of the Gillette name brand, which is good but horribly overpriced.

I'm really late to the party. Went to Target to look for this razor that I'd used for many years and couldn't find after moving. It was nowhere to be found at Target. I was overwhelmed by all the different new brands and bought a Venus, which already looks aggravating with the big plastic head and wobbly, flappy razor cartridge. Then I did a google search and read all about how Schick discontinued this razor years ago. Well, I did find 4 unused razor cartridges for my old beloved Personal Touch and am selling them on ebay. Please check it out if anyone still uses this. I loved that brand and am a bit nostalgic about not being able to use it anymore... sniff....

I applaud the fact that you didn't list your leftover razors for $100 like many others. It will be interesting to see how high the bids go.

I am looking for a handle. I have some refills and miss my personal touch razor so much.

If I wasn't so attached to my PT, I'd send you my handle. I'm considering putting it in a time capsule to stating best woman's razor ever produced.

Joe Dokes said...

Tamara, I understand. You're right: short of altering it per the instructions posted above, the PT handle will be of no use to you. New old stock PT cartridges are exceedingly rare and, as everyone has already figured out, those who have them charge ridiculously high prices.

Repeating myself here, sorry: whether it's the handle you like most or the cartridges, current production (and cheaper) carts will perform just as well for you. All it takes is simply removing that bumper and epoxying on the metal track.

I have a few of the razor handles and bunch of the cartridges new in sealed packages. I am thinking of finally switching to a newer brand. Does anyone know which brand on the market now is simliar to the Personal Touch? Once, I find a new system, I will gladly part with the handles and blades. Suggestions?

Like everyone else, I started using PTR when I was a teen, I'm 53 now.

5+ years ago, when I could no longer find the blades in stores, so I tried other razors, which left me burned (literally - I got razor burns). I called Schick customer service & learned that PTR was discontinued. The cus svc rep was nice & directed me to a drugstore clearance website, which is no longer in business.

Now, please dont be mad at me, ladies, but because, well you know, I was desperate, I purchased a 10+ year supply of PTR razer blades + an extra handle at regular retail price. A month later, I recieved an email from that clearance website, asking if I wanted to purchase more blades. I declined - if only I knew then, what I know now).

I have 11 - 4 packs left, now, which I will use conservatively. Unfortunately, they're not for sale.

I just lost my handle by leaving it at my health club and they trashed it. I had no idea these were gone by way of the Dodo. Anyone have a handle, at a normal price? I'd even be happy with a used one. I still have plenty of blades.

I have one razor left :-( I cannot believe the prices on eBay. They are actually charging $10 a razor! I can't bring myself to do this. Anybody have any recommendations on another razor?

If you have a Dollar General near you (maybe Family Dollar has them too), buy one of these:

http://www.dorcousa.com/pace-comfort-thin-ii/

It's modeled on the Gillette Atra and is an excellent shaver. It's so cheap that if you don't like it you can trash it or donate it, but will have spent less than you would for a cup of bad Starbucks.

Or...

I'm something of a razor collector/fan and can tell you from personal experience that all of Dorco's products (for men and women) are easily 95% as efficient as current name brands like Schick or Gillette but at 1/4 the price.

I have 2 more new blades for my Personal Touch. I will be very sad when those are gone. I will make them last as long as I possibly can. Like others before me, I started using them in my 20's & am almost 63. The best razor I have ever found.

had my husband do the adjustment to the handle, so now it will hold TracII blades. It's the handle that I always loved so this is a good thing !!!

Cleaned out the closet and found two 4-pack refills. I haven't had a handle for these in forever so no idea why I hung on to them. If anyone is interested in buying these, I'll sell them for $5.00 each. Contact me for more details -my email address is magicalmaiden at greenball-tech.com

Also found this site that sells a handle that will work for those looking for a replacement.

http://www.razorsdirect.com/catalog/item/6750936/8858722.htm

and something that look similar on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Brand-Handle-Schick-Personal-Blades/dp/B009W84RIM/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1533871023&sr=1-1&keywords=Personal+Touch+razor+handle#customerReviews

I have no personal experience with this handle so cannot give a testimony and I am not affiliated with either place.
Just offering the information I was able to find online.

Sorry everyone - I sold the refill packs I posted about almost immediately and and still receiving email about them. I do not have anymore available.

Ana,
I will buy the refill packages if you want to sell them. I still have a few cartridges left so will keep my handle for now. Let me know.

Kept my handle for years hoping to find blades. Will not give up. The only good razor I’ve ever owned.

I have used my ptr for 20 or 30 years. I am now 62 and I just dropped and broke the handle...I'm so bummed! I too have searched the internet only to find exorbitant prices on ebay. Other razors just do not measure up. If anyone in the Schick world is reading this blog, PLEASE BRING BACK THE LADIES PERSONAL TOUCH RAZOR! How happy you would make soooo many ladies!!

I have been periodically checking online for YEARS desperately hoping to find that Schick has brought back this amazing razor or at least the refills!! Clearly there are SO many women who love this razor!!! It's so upsetting!

I too wish they would bring back the refills even if only on-line ordering. I am down to my last package and can not afford the crazy prices on Ebay.

Amy Guskin said...

I had so many refills on hand that I only found out TODAY, in 2020, that this was discontinued years ago! No other razor compares; it's just perfectly angled, easy to grip...I'm heartbroken it's gone! I did sign the petition, although I suppose this ship has long sailed.

Anonymous said...

Best razor around. Really would like to see them back this back.

I just found this blogpost whilst looking to buy replacement blades online. I went over to the petition and signed as follows:

Best performing (and best looking) razor ever! Been using the classic tortoise shell plastic handle since the late 80s. If Schick doesn't revive the handle & refill blades, it would be awesome if someone did a Kickstarter or similar to bring the perfection back into production...

I encourage all to sign the petition:

Like everyone else I love my personal touch. Sad they have been discontinued. πŸ˜₯ I refuse to pay the price of refil cartridges on EBay. Hope I find a razor that come close.

I too am late to this party. I had enough refills to last a while, but now I am on the hunt. I am 56 and have been using my Personal Touch razor since I was in my teens also. Loonngg time! I also saw the prices for our beloved "Vintage" razor and its refills, sorry, not going there. I do not want to get a new razor, I want refills to my Personal touch. I will sign the petition, but I see its been going a few years now. Doesn't look like its helping. Glad I'm not alone in this hunt for the best.

BRING BACK THE SCHICK PERSONAL RAZOR!!! I HAVE NOT FOUND ANYTHING COMPARABLE! Sick of wasting money on these expensive no good razors with all the so called bells and whistles. LISTEN TO YOUR FAITHFUL CUSTOMERS!!!

I still have mine as well! Hoping and wishing🀞🏽🀞🏽🀞🏽

About to complete it now!

When they discontinued this razor I bought a bunch of cartridges on eBay when they were still cheap. After using the last one I went on a search for a comparable razor. I've finally found one that is pretty good. The BIC Comfort Free razor has the replaceable blades and the same head angle as the Personal Touch. I really like it, and how novel to actually use a SHARP blade once again.
